If you resell printed apparel – as a broker, a promo distributor, a print shop outsourcing overflow, or a brand – two services decide whether your production partner stays invisible: blind shipping and relabeling. Done right, your customer receives a box that looks like it came from you, filled with garments that read as your brand. Done wrong, your customer finds out exactly who printed the job and what they charge.
Reselling printed apparel?
Tell us what you are running and where it ships. Blind shipping and relabeling are quoted into the job up front – same-day pricing, 24-piece minimum, no setup fees.
What blind shipping actually means
A blind shipment carries no trace of the production shop: plain boxes, no branded tape or inserts, no invoice or packing slip with the printer’s name, and a ship-from label that does not give the game away. The order goes from our dock directly to your customer, and every document inside reflects you. That last mile – the paperwork – is where inexperienced shops slip. Ask any contract printer specifically: what does the packing slip say?
How it works in practice
The flow is simpler than most resellers expect. You place the order and give us the end destination. We print, count and box the goods, generate neutral or your-branded paperwork, and ship on our account or yours – many resellers prefer their own carrier account so tracking notifications come from them. You invoice your customer at your price; they never see ours. On a contract screen printing job the whole arrangement is standard, not special treatment.
Relabeling: making the garment itself yours
Blind shipping hides the printer; relabeling hides the blank. Most modern blanks ship with tear-away manufacturer tags. We remove them and print your neck label inside – logo, size, fabric content, country of origin – so the finished garment reads as your product from stitch to tag. If you are building a brand rather than filling a one-off order, this is the difference between selling shirts and selling your shirts. Pair it with folding and polybagging and goods arrive retail-ready.
What to tell your printer up front
Five things, and the quote comes back tight: the end destination (or “ship to me”), whose shipping account, what the paperwork should say, whether garments get relabeled, and whether goods need folding and polybagging. Each is cheap or free to plan for and annoying to bolt on after the run is boxed.
A note for SanMar shops: skip the freight leg entirely
If your blanks come from SanMar, a PSST decorator changes the math. As a SanMar PSST decorator, blanks ship to us directly – next-day inside Florida – so you never touch the goods at all. SanMar to our presses to your customer, blind, with your label inside. One purchase order and the entire supply chain is invisible to the end buyer.
Frequently asked questions
Does blind shipping cost extra?
With us, no – plain packaging and neutral paperwork are standard on contract work. Custom branded inserts or packing slips with your logo are a small setup we quote up front.
Will the tracking number reveal the printer?
Tracking shows an origin city, which most end customers never question. Resellers who want zero footprint ship on their own carrier account, so even the notifications come from them.
Can you relabel any garment?
Any blank with a tear-away tag, which covers most modern styles from Next Level, Bella+Canvas, District, AS Colour and more. Sewn-in tags can be cut and covered with a printed label; we will tell you which your blank has before the run.
Is a printed neck label legal for resale?
Yes, as long as the label keeps the required information – fiber content, country of origin, and an RN number or your business name. We print compliant labels every week and will flag anything missing from your label art.
Do you drop-ship to multiple addresses?
Yes – split shipments to stores, offices or fulfillment centers are quoted per destination. Give us the split when you order and boxes are packed to match it.
